Position: Software Engineer Work location: San Francisco, CA Wage: $170,681 - $195,000 / per year Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Develop new backend computer and software services using NodeJS, AWS, Docker, Redis. Build reusable components and libraries for future use. Translate designs and diagrams into high-quality code. Improve components for maximum performance across a network of lambda services. Work with partners to find solutions based on requirements and time budgets. Provide high-quality documentation of technical proposals or solutions. Employ experience in JavaScript development and newer specifications of the JavaScript ECMA specification. Familiarity with modern build pipelines and tooling. Design and maintain scalable and efficient APIs and integrating internal APIs into Node.js applications. Write an efficient, transparent and well-documented code that meets industry regulations and standards. Work collaboratively with designers, stakeholders and product owners to define, design and implement new features in existing software solutions. Participate in performance optimization and tuning of existing Node.js applications by reviewing software code and providing constructive feedback for improvement. Ensure proper adherence to privacy and security standards. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted. Minimum Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Special Requirements: Position requires at least five (5) years of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Utilize knowledge of ReactJS to significantly enhance the development of dynamic, interactive, and efficient web applications. 2. Utilize knowledge of JavaScript to enhance the functionality, interactivity, and user experience of web applications. 3. Utilize knowledge of Node.js to significantly enhance ability to build fast, scalable, and efficient server-side applications, creating web server, building RESTful & GraphQL APIs, connecting to databases, building real time applications etc. 4. Utilize knowledge of cloud services to significantly enhance the ability to build, deploy, and manage applications and infrastructure in a scalable, efficient, and cost-effective manner. 5. Utilize knowledge of Java to enhance your ability to build robust, scalable, efficient applications. Java is a versatile programming language widely used in enterprise environments, web development, mobile app development, and more. 6. Utilize knowledge of Redis to significantly enhance ability to build high-performance, scalable applications that require fast data access and caching. 7. Utilize knowledge of SQL & NoSQL to manage and manipulate data in various contexts such as designing relational databases, performing CRUD operations, database transactions, handling large volumes of data. 8. Utilize knowledge of Docker to significantly enhance ability to develop, deploy, and manage applications in a consistent and efficient manner. 9. Utilize knowledge of HTML to significantly enhance the creation, structure, and functionality of web pages and web applications. The starting base salary range for this role is reflected above.
