Software Engineer, Backend XR RV084

Position: Software Engineer, Backend XR Work location: San Francisco, CA Wage: $202,112 - $216,000 / per year Job Duties: Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. Work with product managers, technical leads, experience designers and other software developers to do research, and implement XR workflows. This includes user interaction and software solutions, leveraging third-party tools and partners (Nvidia, Unity, Meta etc.) Implement the cloud and microservices stack for XR workflows, connecting Autodesk cloud platforms and tools to partner and customer ecosystems. Design, prototype, implement, test and troubleshoot XR workflows according to market requirements and product specifications. Continuously integrate test, debug, and profile software and cloud services on supported XR devices. Develop new technical tools and applications. Must be available to work on projects at various, unanticipated sites throughout the United States. Telecommuting is permitted. Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a software engineer-related occupation. Special Requirements: Position requires at least two (2) years of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Utilize knowledge of Kafka to implement event-driven architectures and handle large-scale data streaming 2. Utilize knowledge of Agile methodologies to manage the full development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional teams 3. Utilize knowledge of Jenkins to automate CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications 4. Utilize knowledge of API development to create secure and scalable endpoints for front-end clients and third-party services Position requires at least one (1) year of experience in each of the following skills: 5. Utilize knowledge of Golang to design, develop and maintain scalable applications 6. Utilize knowledge of AWS cloud services (EC2, DynamoDB, Terraform) to provision infrastructure and manage cloud resources 7. Utilize knowledge of Python and Django to develop privacy tools and automate social media monitoring systems 8. Utilize knowledge of GDPR and security standards to implement privacy workflows and address vulnerabilities 9. Utilize knowledge of Docker to containerize applications for consistent deployment across environments 10. Utilize knowledge of testing methodologies, such as TDD (Test Driven Development), go unit tests, Integration testing to ensure high code quality and coverage The starting base salary range for this role is reflected above.
