Role Description
Oxford Advisory Group is seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Financial Planning Advisor to join our growing wealth management team. This is a client-facing role responsible for managing existing client relationships, conducting review meetings, and helping clients stay on track toward their financial goals.
The ideal candidate is confident working directly with clients, has a strong understanding of financial planning and wealth management, and takes ownership of the client experience from preparation through follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with an assigned group of existing clients
- Prepare for and independently conduct client review meetings
- Review client goals, financial plans, portfolios, and changing financial circumstances
- Identify planning opportunities and recommend appropriate strategies
- Maintain and update financial plans as client needs evolve
- Coordinate implementation of recommendations with internal teams
- Proactively communicate with clients between scheduled reviews
- Track meeting action items and ensure timely follow-through
- Collaborate with Lead Advisors on complex planning needs and advanced strategies
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation within the firm's CRM
- Coordinate with clients' CPAs, attorneys, and other professional partners when appropriate
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, or a related field preferred
- Experience in wealth management, financial planning, or a client-facing financial services role
- Strong knowledge of investments, retirement planning, insurance, and general wealth management concepts
- Series 65 or Series 66
- Life & Health insurance license
- CFP designation or progress toward the designation is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and relationship-management skills
- Ability to confidently lead client conversations and manage multiple relationships
