They are responsible for ensuring appropriate and relevant supporting documentation is attached to the journal entry. The Accountant II is responsible for evaluating the source of the information for their journal entries and asking appropriate followup questions to ensure documentation is appropriate. In some cases, appropriate support will include developing estimates of the current month activity based on financial analysis of historical data. The Accountant II is expected to develop an understanding of healthcare specific accounting issues relevant to the assigned functional accounting area. Previous healthcare experience is preferred but not required. The Accountant II is responsible for analyzing and providing variance explanations (from budget and trend) related to assigned areas to the accounting leads and managers for month-end review. The Accountant II is expected to seek out learning opportunities and be open to constructive feedback to improve overall performance and expand their knowledge of US GAAP. The Accountant II is responsible for completion of monthly balance sheet account reconciliations related to the assigned functional accounting area. The Broadband Network Technician I is responsible for detecting, troubleshooting and resolving system outages for data, video, and telephone. This role will be responsible for emergency restoration of coax, underground cable, maintenance of power supply, leakage and splicing. The BNT I is required to maintain documentation as needed. This role participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation. Detect, troubleshoot and resolve system outages in aerial and/or underground capacities related to transmission levels, signal losses and off-air interference. Prepare and perform emergency aerial and/or underground coaxial cable restoration due to variables such as cable breaks and/or damage Perform preventative maintenance (power supply, actives) in the form of testing, balancing, alignment and adjustments of components or equipment Monitor, record and repair cable leakage, complying with applicable regulations Observe and assist co-workers with fiber splicing activities Complete and distribute required documentation, such as work orders and daily logs Install, replace, and repair coaxial and fiber optic cabling, including aerial and buried plant Perform pole transfers, span replacements, and drop repairs Operate bucket trucks, ladders, and field equipment Participation in a 24/7 on-call rotation Other duties as assigned What You Bring to the Table: Requirements/Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent 2 years of hands-on experience in telecom field work, cabling, construction, or utilities (coax, fiber, or electrical) Maintain satisfactory driving record and have a valid driver's license Customer Service Communication (verbal, written) Basic Computer Skills Aptitude to learn to skills Problem solving Time Management Teamwork Working alone Ability to read and interpret maps Bucket Certified; Ohm's Understand the Outside Plant Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs Work performed in both climate controlled and non climate controlled environments, with potential exposure to heat, cold, dust, damp conditions, uneven surfaces, heights, and moving vehicles Prolonged standing, walking, sitting, and driving required Ability to safely climb and work from ladders for extended periods of time Frequent reaching, pushing, pulling, climbing stairs and ladders, and using hands above and below shoulder level Ability to bend, twist, kneel, squat, crawl, and maintain various body positions and perform fine motor tasks, forceful gripping, and limited keyboarding We're Proud to Offer a Comprehensive Benefits Package Including: 401k retirement plan, with employer match Insurance options including: medical, dental, vision, life and STD insurance Paid Time Off/Vacation: Starting at 80 hours per year, and increases based on tenure with the organization Floating Holiday: 40 hours per year Paid Holidays: 7 days per year Paid Sick Leave: Astound allows a number of paid sick hours per calendar year and varies based on state and/or local laws Tuition reimbursement program Employee discount program Benefits listed above are for regular full-time position The base salary range in Massachusetts for this position is $26.00- $29.00 per hour, plus opportunities for bonus, benefits and commission, if applicable. The base pay range represents the low and high end of the hiring range for this job. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to relevant skills, experience, and capabilities. It is specific to Massachusetts and may not be applicable to other locations.
