The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of trailers, ensuring they are safe and operational. This role requires a strong background in TRAILER/vehicle maintenance and repair, as well as the ability to work with heavy equipment and machinery. We have several shifts currently with complete hours of operations are Monday-Friday, 6 am - midnight. Responsibilities Conduct thorough inspections of trailers to identify issues and necessary repairs. Perform routine maintenance on trailers, including brake adjustments, tire rotations, and electrical system checks. Repair or replace damaged components such as axles, brakes, and suspension systems. Utilize diagnostic tools to troubleshoot mechanical problems effectively. Operate forklifts and other heavy equipment safely while performing repairs or moving trailers. Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repair tasks. Requirements Trailer repair experience required Perform repairs and preventative maintenance on trailers - chassis - light truck repairs Experience with repairs including brakes, air system, lighting, landing gears, and doors Needs to be able to do major body work including panel replacement and bottom/top rail repairs. Diesel experiences helpful Some welding experience Must be able to work independently and safely Ability to be a dependable team player Major shop tools and diagnostic equipment is provided Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during repairs (up to 50 pounds). Familiarity with farm machinery and Caterpillar equipment / RV trailers is a plus. Experience operating heavy equipment is beneficial. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
