Position: Payroll Specialist
Location: Tulsa, OK
Compensation: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Benefits: This position is eligible for medical, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Job Duties:
Process biweekly or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule
Manage complex multi-state payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees.
Process union payroll, including dues and benefits, contract compliance and reporting requirements.
Review and verify timekeeping records, pay adjustments, deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations
Respond to employee payroll inquiries and resolve discrepancies professionally and promptly
Prepare payroll reports and assist with audits, reconciliation and year-end processing
Assist with system testing, payroll implementations, and process improvements as needed.
Requirements (excel? Degree? Yrs of exp? Must have skills?):
Minimum 5 years of payroll processing experience required
Experience with payroll software systems and timekeeping platforms, UKG preferred.
Strong knowledge of payroll laws, wage and hour regulations, payroll taxes, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Advanced proficiency preferred.
Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information professionally.
Proven experience handling complex multi-state payroll
