About Avesta Ketamine & Wellness
Avesta Ketamine & Wellness is a leading provider of ketamine-assisted therapy, offering evidence-based treatment for mood disorders, chronic pain, and treatment-resistant conditions. With multiple locations across the DMV, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care that helps people reclaim their quality of life.
About the Role
As a Provider Partnerships Liaison, you will grow Avesta's referral network across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC by building strong partnerships with mental health and healthcare providers and their teams. This is a field-based sales role focused on driving patient referrals to Avesta through relationship-building, strategic territory growth, and consistent in-person engagement.
You will spend most of your working hours in the field meeting with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, primary care physicians, pain specialists, office managers, and practice administrators. Your job is to build trust, grow referral volume, and help more patients access ketamine-assisted therapy for mood disorders, chronic pain, and treatment-resistant conditions.
This role combines relationship-building, new business development, and long-term account growth. Success comes from creating strong relationships, keeping momentum with existing referral partners, and consistently growing your territory over time.
This is a part-time role (20 to 30 hours per week) that reports directly to the CEO and works closely with executive leadership. It is a strong fit for someone who wants to own a territory and see the direct impact of their work in a growing mental health practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and grow a provider referral territory across Northern Virginia and Washington, DC
- Spend the majority of your weekly hours in the field meeting with providers and their office staff
- Build relationships with psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists, primary care physicians, pain specialists, office managers, and practice administrators
- Prospect into new practices and create referral partnerships from the ground up, using a mix of in-person visits, email, phone calls, and LinkedIn outreach
- Grow referral volume within existing partners through consistent follow-up, relationship management, and strategic territory planning
- Become a trusted resource to providers by educating them on Avesta, ketamine-assisted therapy, and how to refer patients
- Represent Avesta at professional meetings, conferences, community events, and webinars
- Drive toward monthly referral goals and performance targets
- Manage your territory like it is your own business, balancing new partner development with long-term account growth
- Track activity, pipeline, and referral performance in HubSpot, our customer relationship management (CRM) system
- Partner with leadership and the marketing team to share what you hear in the field, improve outreach materials, and plan events
About You
You would be a great fit here if you are:
- Competitive and motivated by hitting goals
- Energized by building relationships and earning trust quickly with busy clinicians and office staff
- Excited by growing partnerships over time, not just landing the first referral

- Self-driven, resourceful, and excited by ownership
- Coachable and eager to improve
- Adaptable in a growing, fast-moving practice
- Motivated to help more people access effective mental health care

- Experience in the mental health industry, or a genuine interest in it
- The ability to explain clinical concepts clearly to healthcare professionals
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage many relationships and priorities at once
- Comfort working independently and a willingness to spend most of your working hours in the field
- Experience with HubSpot or another CRM tool is a plus, but not required
Mental health sales experience is helpful, but not required. We are especially interested in candidates who build relationships naturally and want to grow in a high-performance sales role.
