At our Apple Grove, WV, 30375 facility, you'll be the go-to mechanical expert keeping production moving. From early checks to end-of-shift handoffs, you'll ensure equipment runs smoothly, safely, and predictably.
Picture this: you start by walking the line, listening for unusual vibrations and reviewing maintenance logs. Mid-morning, an unexpected fault pops up-your troubleshooting narrows the issue quickly, parts are replaced, and downtime stays minimal. In the afternoon, you coordinate with operators and fellow techs to fine-tune settings, then document every action to maintain a clear service history.
Your Impact- Carry out scheduled service and corrective repairs on plant mechanical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults rapidly to reduce downtime.
- Perform inspections and preventative maintenance to keep assets at peak performance.
- Work closely with teammates to boost reliability and overall efficiency.
- Record maintenance work and repairs with accuracy and completeness.
- Follow all safety procedures and uphold a clean, orderly workspace.
- Support the setup and installation of new machines and related equipment when needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; a mechanical maintenance technical certification is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in a mechanical maintenance technician or comparable role.
- Solid grasp of mechanical systems and proven troubleshooting methods.
- Comfort reading and interpreting technical manuals, drawings, and schematics.
- Sharp problem-solving ability with strong attention to detail.
- Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach.
- Flexibility to work varied hours and be on-call as business needs arise.
