Position: Analytical Strategist/Business Analyst Work location: Boston, MA Wage: $136,781 - $161,000 / per year Job Duties: Formulate and apply data analysis and other optimizing methods, including Trend analysis, Data Visualization, Cohort Analysis, Funnel Analysis, Correlation Analysis and Comparative Analysis to develop and interpret information that assists management with decision making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions. Analyze information obtained from management to conceptualize and define operational problems. Support management to define key business metrics for evaluating success and help build self-serviceable business intelligence dashboards, to facilitate KPI tracking and enable deep data exploration. Present the results of data analysis to management or other end users. Define data requirements, and gather and validate information, applying judgment and statistical tests. Prepare management reports defining and evaluating problems and recommending solutions. Collaborate with others in the organization to ensure successful implementation of chosen problem solutions. Collaborate with senior managers and decision makers to identify and solve a variety of problems and to clarify management objectives. Analyzing Data or Information Identifying the underlying principles, reasons, or facts of information by breaking down information or data into separate parts. Making Decisions and Solving Problems Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems. Interpreting the Meaning of Information for Others Translating or explaining what information means and how it can be used. Utilize knowledge of SQL to write complex queries, perform joins across multiple tables, create tables and views, and extract data from relational databases and data warehouses. Utilize knowledge of data visualization in tools like Power BI and Adobe Analytics to design end-to-end analytics workflows that extract, transform, visualize, and analyze customer behavioral data across multiple systems to enable data-driven business decisions. Some telecommuting is permitted. Minimum Requirements: Masters degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a business analyst-related occupation. Some telecommuting is permitted. Special Requirements: Position requires at least three (3) years of experience in each of the following skills: 1. Utilize knowledge of statistical analysis and optimization methodologies including trend analysis, correlation analysis, funnel analysis, and cohort analysis to perform business decision-making and generate actionable insights. 2. Utilize knowledge of SQL to write complex queries, perform joins across multiple tables, create tables and views, and extract data from relational databases and data warehouses. 3. Utilize knowledge of programming languages for data analysis such as Python or R, including libraries for statistical computing and data manipulation, to perform complex analytical tasks. 4. Utilize knowledge of A/B and multivariate experimentation to design, implement, and interpret large-scale experiments, including baseline definition, statistical modeling, and post-test recommendations. 5. Utilize knowledge of data visualization in tools like Power BI and Adobe Analytics to design end-to-end analytics workflows that extract, transform, visualize, and analyze customer behavioral data across multiple systems to enable data-driven business decisions. 6. Utilize knowledge of data quality and governance practices to define tracking specifications, validate instrumentation through user acceptance testing, identify and troubleshoot data accuracy issues, and ensure reliability of analytical data. 7. Utilize knowledge of large-scale customer journey and behavioral data to generate actionable insights that inform product design, content optimization, and business strategy. 8. Utilize knowledge of event-based tracking frameworks and web analytics implementation including JavaScript tagging, data layer specifications, and front-end instrumentation to design and monitor technical data collection processes. 9. Utilize knowledge of analytical project management and cross-functional collaboration to partner with product managers, engineers, UX researchers, and business stakeholders to define project requirements, align on deliverables and timelines, track project status and key milestones, and document analytical requirements and success measures. 10. Utilize knowledge of cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery, or Azure Synapse to manage and analyze large-scale datasets for analytical reporting and business intelligence purposes. Position requires at least one (1) academic semester of graduate-level coursework or some experience in each of the following skills: 11. Utilize knowledge of data-driven decision making and communication to work cross-functionally with various teams by relaying technical analysis results to non-technical audience and bridging the gaps between technical specifics and business requirements. 12. Utilize knowledge of data visualizations and business intelligence to develop, design and automate interactive self-service dashboards to monitor key performance measures and provide near-real-time business insights to executives and other business stakeholders. 13. Utilize knowledge of data modeling to evaluate data availability from existing data sources and where needed, coordinate with Data Engineering to initiate new data collection/aggregation. The starting base salary range for this role is reflected above. Salary is one part of Autodesks competitive package. Offers are based on the candidates experience and geographic location.
