CARGO BUILDER WITH AIRLINE EXPERIENCE
Location: Atlanta, GA
Starting Pay: Up to $30/hour
Job Summary
I.K. Hofmann USA has an immediate long-term contract opportunity for an experienced Cargo Builder at a cargo facility in Atlanta, GA. The Cargo Builder/Warehouse Associate builds airline-ready pallets, safely loads and unloads freight, operates assigned equipment, and communicates with warehouse teams to support daily operations.
Responsibilities
• Build and prepare airline cargo pallets.
• Load and unload cargo on trucks.
• Operate a forklift and other warehouse equipment as assigned.
• Tie down and secure pallets according to site procedures.
• Perform warehouse duties based on operational needs.
• Communicate effectively with teammates and warehouse personnel.
• Follow all site, safety, security, and cargo-handling procedures.
Qualifications
• GED or high school education desired.
• Previous experience building cargo for an airline is required.
• Strong attention to detail and safe work practices.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions and site procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Essential Functions
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
• Frequently moves and transports cargo weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Occasionally moves about inside the warehouse and office to access cargo shipments and airwaybills.
• Must be able to position self to operate warehouse equipment and secure cargo safely.
• Must be able to communicate with teammates and warehouse personnel and exchange accurate information.
Work Environment
• Often works indoors but may sometimes work outdoors.
• Sometimes exposed to very hot or very cold temperatures; workspaces may not be temperature-controlled.
• Occasionally works in extremely bright or dim lighting conditions.
• May be exposed to equipment, moving freight, and distracting or uncomfortable noise levels.
• Works near others and often shares the same workspace.
Schedule
Tuesday-Saturday, 12:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Must be flexible to work different shifts as operational needs change. Overtime may be available based on business needs.
