Do you read blueprints with confidence? Can you run consistent beads on heavy-gauge steel in flat, vertical, and overhead positions? If so, step into a traveling role where precision and reliability are valued every shift.
The opportunity- Base location: Greenfield, WI
- Compensation: $22/hour
- Per diem: $100 per day (days worked)
- Shifts: 1st or 2nd (be willing to work either)
- Workload: Up to 60 hours/week; overtime may be available with supervisor approval
From fuel tanks to frames and enclosures, you'll fabricate with MIG (GMAW), clamping and positioning parts, tacking, grinding, assembling, and then inspecting your work. You'll troubleshoot basic issues, follow rigorous safety and quality standards, and keep projects moving to spec.
What it takes to thrive- Preferred: MIG/GMAW welding background
- Comfortable reading blueprints and using a tape measure
- Detail-oriented, motivated to learn
- Reliable and collaborative
- Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime
Requirements- Pass background check and 5-panel drug test.
- Pass pre-employment physical.
- Pass written test and basic weld test on first day.
