Lead Recruiter High-Volume Recruiting
Reports To: Talent Acquisition Manager / Director of Talent Acquisition
Position Summary
The Lead Recruiter High-Volume Recruiting is a hands-on recruiting professional responsible for driving a high-volume, full-cycle recruiting operation while serving as a day-to-day resource for a team of approximately 4 8 recruiters.
Approximately 95% of this role is focused on active recruiting and talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, candidate management, interview coordination, pipeline development, and meeting aggressive hiring goals. The remaining responsibilities involve providing coaching, mentoring, recruiting guidance, and operational support to recruiters when needed.
This position is designed for a strong individual contributor and recruiting producer who can maintain their own requisition workload while serving as a go-to resource for the recruiting team. This is not primarily a management role; the successful candidate will remain deeply involved in hands-on recruiting.
Key Responsibilities
High-Volume Full-Cycle Recruiting
Manage an individual requisition workload and full-cycle recruiting process from sourcing through offer and onboarding.
Develop and execute effective sourcing strategies to support high-volume hiring needs.
Conduct resume reviews, candidate outreach, initial phone screens, and candidate assessments.
Manage multiple open requisitions while meeting aggressive hiring timelines and staffing goals.
Build and maintain active candidate pipelines for current and anticipated hiring needs.
Coordinate interviews and provide hiring managers with organized candidate information and interview materials.
Extend offers and support compensation and benefits discussions within established company guidelines.
Maintain consistent and timely communication with candidates throughout the recruiting and pre-employment process.
Assist with new-hire orientation and onboarding activities as needed.
Recruiting Team Support & Mentoring
Serve as a go-to recruiting resource for 4 8 recruiters, providing hands-on guidance and support when needed.
Coach and mentor recruiters on sourcing, screening, candidate communication, recruiting workflows, and best practices.
Assist recruiters with challenging searches, candidate screens, pipeline development, and recruiting obstacles.
Provide practical feedback and guidance to help recruiters improve productivity and recruiting effectiveness.
Support consistent recruiting practices and adherence to established processes.
Hiring Manager & Talent Acquisition Partnership
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements, priorities, job expectations, and hiring timelines.
Collaborate with Talent Acquisition leadership to support overall staffing objectives.
Communicate recruiting progress, challenges, pipeline activity, and hiring needs.
Help ensure recruiting activities remain aligned with business priorities and established hiring processes.
Recruiting Operations, Metrics & Process
Monitor recruiting activity, pipeline development, interviews, offers, hires, and time-to-fill.
Track and report recruiting metrics to Talent Acquisition leadership.
Maintain accurate and timely candidate and requisition information within the ATS.
Ensure consistent use of recruiting systems, workflows, and documentation.
Identify opportunities to improve sourcing, recruiting efficiency, candidate experience, and team performance.
Help troubleshoot recruiting workflow issues and implement practical process improvements.
Must-Have Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; Masters degree preferred.
3+ years of recruiting or talent acquisition experience, preferably within a high-volume recruiting environment.
Demonstrated experience with full-cycle recruiting and sourcing.
Previous experience leading, coaching, mentoring, or supporting recruiters.
Proven ability to manage a high volume of requisitions, candidates, and competing priorities.
Strong sourcing, screening, interviewing, and candidate relationship-management skills.
Excellent organizational, communication, follow-through, and time-management skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with aggressive hiring timelines.
Demonstrated accountability for recruiting activity, pipeline development, and hiring results.
Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience required.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
Preferred Qualifications
HRIS experience.
Experience recruiting in a high-volume or rapidly scaling environment.
Experience using recruiting metrics and data to monitor pipeline activity and hiring performance.
Experience supporting or mentoring multiple recruiters while maintaining an individual recruiting workload.
