<p>Maintenance Technician A, B or C</p> <p>Transdev in Cuba, NY is seeking an A, B or C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles.</p> <p>Transdev is proud to offer:</p> <ul> <li>$24.42-$26.75 Depending on Grade Level (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale)</li> <li>$3000 Sign on Bonus</li> </ul> <p>Benefits include:</p> <ul> <li>Personal Days- 2 per year</li> <li>Vacation: 1 week at 1 year of full time employment, 2 weeks at 2 years, 3 weeks and 5 years and 4 weeks at 10 years. </li> <li>Paid Sick Leave: Based on NYS Law; medical, dental & vision after 90 calendar days of employment for full-time employees, life insurance, 401k retirement benefits, and company holidays.</li> <li>Company paid ASE testing, training materials, and tool, show and safety glasses reimbursement.</li> <li>A technician must become master certified in one of the primary categories before they are eligible for pay increases on a secondary set of ASE tests. (Transit, Heavy truck, or automotive for tec c only)</li> <li>You will receive $0.15 /hour premium per primary ASE test passed in the technician's chosen category. $0.20 per hour master certified premium once all tests in the technician's chosen category have been passed. Once Master Certified the tech will receive $0.25 per hour premium on all other ASE tests that have been passed.(Certifications that are allowed to expire will result in loss of premiums.)</li> </ul> <p>Key Responsibilities: </p> <ul> <li>Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality.</li> <li>Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow.</li> <li>Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.</li> <li>Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines.</li> <li>Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications.</li> <li>Other duties as required.</li> </ul> <p>Qualifications: </p> <ul> <li>1 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic.</li> <li>Applicants must have held a valid driver's license for a minimum of three years.</li> <li>ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided</li> <li>Mechanic's Tool Set</li> <li>CDL B with appropriate endorsements (We train for CDL)</li> <li>Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
