Job Description Job Description <p><strong>Position: </strong> High Voltage Lineman-Full Time</p><p>Performs a full range of work involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, modification, and testing of primary and secondary electrical distribution systems. Performs maintenance inspections to determine safety hazards, damage, and repair requirements. Must be able to work safely with 13,200 volts of electricity.</p><p>Plans, installs, modifies, tests, maintains and repairs a variety of fixtures, hardware and equipment including transformers, generators, convertors, fuses, conductors, switches, conduit, controllers, etc. Must be trained in installing hi-voltage terminations, including transformer elbows, stress cones and splices.</p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><p>Must have a minimum of five years journeyman-level experience and have completed a formal apprenticeship or equivalent formal vocational/technical training program on industrial electrical systems and demonstrate proficiency and expertise in the field. Must be capable of working safely on all high voltage systems, both above ground and underground. Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience. Must have the ability to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.
