Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper/Accountant to manage the financial operations for our business within the fast-paced food industry. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, manage daily transactions, and provide critical financial insights to management. Supervise the work of 6 accounting employees.
Key Responsibilities
Daily Transaction Management: Accurately record all financial transactions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, and disbursements and collections.
Inventory Track and reconcile inventory levels on a regular basis.
Payroll Processing: Assist with accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
Reconciliations: Perform monthly bank, credit card, and vendor statement reconciliations.
Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate monthly reports to the CPA for the preparation of financial statements
Tax Compliance: Assist in the preparation and filing of local, state, and federal tax .
Audit Preparation: Maintain an organized and meticulous filing system to facilitate easy preparation for annual reviews or audits.
Qualifications
Proven experience (2+ years) in a bookkeeping or accounting role, preferably within the food service industry.
Proficiency with accounting software, Microsoft Excel and Word.
Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
High level of accuracy, efficiency, and attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
