Accounts Receivable Specialist - Distributor (Rego Park, Queens, NY)
An established distributor in Rego Park is seeking an experienced, self-directed Accounts Receivable Specialist to own day-to-day A/R operations and support related order and payables functions. This is a hands-on role for someone who can work independently and maintain clean receivables without close supervision.
Responsibilities
- Post and apply customer credit card and ACH payments accurately and on schedule
- Reconcile undeposited funds
- Manage collections and follow up on aging receivables
- Handle customer service inquiries related to accounts, invoices, and orders
- Troubleshoot and resolve order discrepancies and related issues
- Assist with accounts payable duties as needed
- Maintain records across Fishbowl (inventory) and QuickBooks Online
- Support general office duties as needed
Requirements
- Proven, hands-on experience with Fishbowl and QuickBooks Online (both required)
- Strong accounts receivable, payment posting, and collections background
- Comfortable reconciling undeposited funds and assisting with payables
- Able to research and resolve orders independently
- Professional communication skills for direct customer contact
- Distribution or wholesale experience a plus
Schedule: Full-time, flexible hours
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually, commensurate with experience (hourly, non-exempt)
Location: On-site, Rego Park, Queens, NY
