Job Summary

RapidFire Safety & Security looking for an experienced Fire Alarm Technician with a Texas Fire Alarm and Security Installer license to join our team. Must be self-motivated and able to plan, organize and direct the completion of service /installations.

Responsibilities

Provide full-service troubleshooting and repair of systems in an efficient and professional manner - this includes knowing how to find an answer if you don't know it!

Maintain accurate records of all work performed, material used, and the nature of any problem encountered or identified with the system

Coordinate with office manager/dispatcher for the purpose of completing service and work orders efficiently.

Diagnoses cause problems or failures in systems for the purpose of identifying equipment and systems repair.

Requests equipment and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory and ensuring availability of equipment required to complete service.

Respond to emergency situations during and after hours to resolve immediate safety concerns.

Perform state licensed fire alarm inspections

Knowledge, Skill & Other Requirements

Valid driver's license and Texas FAL

MUST have a MINIMUM of 2 years installation and experience in wiring, installing and programming security systems, fire systems and CCTV systems.

Familiarity with various alarm control panels including DSC, NAPCO, DMP, GE, and others

Familiarity with fire panels including Honeywell, Potter, Hochiki and others

Must be able to work without supervision

Be able to lift tools and equipment up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, pull wire, etc.

Strong attention to detail

All applicants must have a CLEAN driving record, excellent attendance record and be willing to submit to a drug test / background check
