Metrics Fire Protection LLC is seeking a Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Helper to support field teams with hands-on assistance on fire protection systems in DFW.

Position Summary

The Fire Alarm/Sprinkler Helper works alongside licensed technicians and installers to assist with the installation, inspection support, testing, and basic service tasks related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems. This role is ideal for someone who is eager to learn, takes direction well, and contributes to reliable, safety-focused work in the field.

You'll help ensure job sites are prepared, materials are handled correctly, and work is completed in an organized and timely manner while following applicable safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with setup and preparation for fire alarm and sprinkler work, including staging materials and tools.

• Support technicians with installation tasks such as pulling wire, assisting with mounting equipment, and preparing components.

• Help perform basic testing and documentation support under supervision as needed.

• Maintain a clean and safe job site by following safety procedures and site rules.

• Communicate effectively with team members and report progress, issues, and materials needs.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work safely in a hands-on field environment.

• Willingness to learn installation and service processes related to fire alarm and sprinkler systems.

• Ability to perform job-related tasks, including lifting and working in varying conditions.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality, with a strong willingness to work as part of a team.

• Clear communication skills and the ability to take direction from supervisors.

• All applicants must have a clean background and be able to pass background and UA tests.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with job site safety practices and basic hand/power tool handling.

• Interest in building skills toward future growth in fire protection systems.

• Prior exposure to electrical, low-voltage, or mechanical installation work (helpful but not required).

Compensation

Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.00
