Fire Alarm Technician Helper

Objective:
Installation Helper to assist in the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of electrical systems, excellent attention to detail, and a strong willingness to learn and grow within the field. This role provides hands-on experience in the fire safety industry while working alongside experienced technicians.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and maintenance of low voltage systems.
• Help troubleshoot and repair low voltage systems and components.
• Work with the technician to test and inspect low voltage systems for proper operation.
• Support the setup and wiring of low voltage equipment, including control panels, and devices.
• Handle tools, equipment, and materials related to low voltage systems installation and service.
• Maintain an organized workspace and assist with managing equipment and supplies.
• Follow safety protocols and adhere to industry standards and codes.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, inspections, and repairs.
• Provide general support to the low voltage team as needed.

• Valid Drivers license with an outstanding driving record
• Ability to pass a background and drug screening
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems and hand tools.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude.
• Physical ability to lift and carry equipment, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
• Previous experience in electrical or low voltage systems is a plus but not required.
