Picture this: it's Monday morning in Cedar Rapids, and you're the go-to Journeyman who turns plans into power. You roll onto a long-term industrial site, lay out precise conduit runs, and bring equipment online without a hiccup. You'll travel from Texas (or another reciprocal state) to Iowa to join a decade-long industrial build where clean work, safe habits, and first-time inspections are the norm.

What you'll do day-to-day

• Install EMT, rigid, IMC, and flex conduit; set panels, lighting, and equipment to pass inspection on the first try and meet NEC.
• Read one-lines, prints, and specs; lay out and bend accurate conduit that coordinates with other trades-no rework.
• Pull, terminate, and test feeders and branch circuits; verify voltage, rotation, and load so commissioning stays on schedule.
• Troubleshoot faults fast and document durable repairs.
• Keep the site clean; follow OSHA and LOTO every day; leave the work area safer than you found it.

Travel assignment

Must have Journeyman License. This role is for electricians comfortable working away from home in Iowa on a long-term industrial project. We welcome Iowa-licensed Journeymen and those eligible via reciprocity.

License options

Active Iowa Journeyman license or a qualifying license from: Alaska, Arkansas, Colorado, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Dakota, Texas, Wisconsin, or Wyoming.

Out-of-state electricians encouraged to apply-reciprocity subject to Iowa requirements.

Compensation & travel support

• $50-$55 per hour, based on experience and work history
• $180/day tax-free per diem for eligible travel expenses
• Lodging provided
• Earn 7 days of per diem when you work 5 days in a week
• Long-term project horizon (planned for 10 years)

Where and when you'll work

First shift on commercial/industrial construction in the Cedar Rapids, IA area. Bring standard electrical hand tools and required PPE (hard hat, ANSI-rated safety glasses, hi-vis, long pants, safety-toe boots, gloves, hearing protection). Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial electrical construction or 6+ years in industrial/manufacturing electrical work
• Proficiency with EMT bending, device installation, and panel work
• Ability to read schematics and apply NEC/OSHA standards
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs

Essential Qualifications

• Own standard electrical hand tools and OSHA-compliant PPE; authorized to work in the U.S.
• All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
