Job description
The Welder-Fitter will primarily perform MIG welding, fitting, and structural steel assembly tasks while ensuring adherence to safety standards. This role involves individual work and collaboration within small teams, with infrequent on-site presence and no expected travel to multiple locations.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG/TIG welding and fitting operations to AISC Standards
- Read and interpret blueprints accurately
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols at all times
- Assemble and fabricate structural steel components
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in welding and fitting
- Technical certification in Welding or Metal Fabrication
- WABO Certified or ability to pass weld test to Red Dog Standards D1.1 1" Unlimited 3G
- Proficiency in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)
- Strong blueprint interpretation skills
- High attention to detail and safety awareness
- Physical stamina and ability to work in a team environment
