Journeyman Electrician - Lead Electrician (First Employee / Growth Opportunity)

We are looking for an experienced Journeyman Electrician who wants to take ownership of their work, lead on-site operations, and grow into a management or partner-level role as the business expands.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance across residential and light commercial projects throughout the Grand Rapids metro area.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical code specifications.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues safely, efficiently, and accurately.
• Manage job sites, order materials, and maintain a clean, safe workspace.
• Serve as the main point of contact on-site for clients and local inspectors.
• Help recruit, train, and mentor future apprentices and crew members as the team expands.

Qualifications & Skills

• Certification: Active Michigan Electrical Journeyman License required.
• Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of hands-on experience as a licensed Journeyman.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of current Michigan Electrical Code / NEC and local municipality guidelines.
• Skills: Excellent troubleshooting, conduit bending, panel wiring, and customer-facing communication skills.
• Requirements:
• • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Must have basic hand tools (specialty power tools provided).
  • Ability to pass a background check.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday (Standard day shift)
• Occasional overtime/weekend work as needed

Work Location

• Multiple job sites throughout the Greater Grand Rapids area (Kent, Ottawa, and surrounding counties).
