Field Glazer at AGM

The Field Glazier is responsible for installing curtainwall and storefront framing members and glass for service and contract projects. This position works with a variety of glazing systems and performs fabrication and installation activities while supporting safe and efficient project execution.

Role Expectations

• Install storefronts, curtainwalls, entrances, and glass according to AGM and manufacturer standards.
• Interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings as required.
• Identify the differences between storefront and curtainwall systems.
• Develop and cut materials from cut lists with limited supervision when required.
• Apply sealants, adhesives, and related materials as required.
• Maintain knowledge of glazing systems, hardware items, and installation procedures for various glazing products.
• Operate battery-powered and electric-powered hand tools safely and effectively.
• Support quality work on all assigned projects.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following company safety policies and jobsite requirements.
• Use tools and equipment safely and responsibly while promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers and embrace a team-oriented environment.
• Maintain professionalism and quality work while supporting company goals and customer satisfaction.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The successful candidate will demonstrate integrity, honesty, accountability, dedication, and professionalism while supporting safe and efficient project execution.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or GED preferred; 3-5 years glazing experience preferred; OSHA safety training preferred.

• Knowledge of storefront, curtainwall, and entrance systems.

• Ability to read shop drawings.

• Experience using hand tools and power tools.

• Knowledge of glazing systems, hardware, glazing materials, sealants, adhesives, and installation practices.

• Valid driver's license preferred and willingness to travel when required.

• Attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb throughout the workday.
• Ability to lift, carry, and handle glass materials, tools, and equipment.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to perform physically demanding construction activities.
