Rise Up Restaurants is the corporate home of Pizza Patrón and one of the largest Wingstop franchisees in the country, operating more than 220 restaurant locations across multiple states. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Staff Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team in San Antonio, TX.

What You'll Do

As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of our financial records while supporting the month-end close process and daily accounting operations.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing and posting GAAP-compliant journal entries
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities
• Reconciling general ledger accounts
• Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
• Preparing and filing sales tax reports
• Supporting the Accounts Payable process
• Assisting with revenue reporting and financial analysis
• Supporting payroll functions (experience preferred)
• Researching discrepancies and resolving accounting issues
• Assisting with special projects and process improvements as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2-3 years of accounting experience, including month-end close
• Experience working with accounting software and ERP systems
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Professional, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
• Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
