Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for a TIG Welder role in Portland, OR. Key Responsibilities: NEED TO BE ABLE TO WELD ON 18G-20G STEEL Perform high-quality TIG welding on aluminum, stainless steel, and other materials according to engineering drawings and specifications.
Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly
Set up, adjust, and maintain TIG welding equipment for safe and efficient operation.
Inspect welds for quality, strength, and dimensional accuracy, making corrections as needed.
Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, cleaning, and fitting components prior to welding.
Use precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and ensure finished products meet quality standards.
Follow all safety procedures while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily production schedules and customer requirements.
Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and promptly report any equipment issues or safety concerns.
Accurately document completed work and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is preferred.
Previous TIG welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is required.
Ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication drawings.
Experience welding stainless steel and aluminum is highly preferred.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift up to 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Excellent teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work overtime or varying shifts as production demands require.
Competitive hourly wage. $30-35 DOE.
