Seeking a highly experienced, organized, and motivated individual to join our reputable, fast-growing property management company headquartered in Southfield, MI as an on-site staff accountant.

Responsibilities include:

• Monthly accounting for residential rental properties including but not limited to bank reconciliation, journal entries and accruals, and evaluation of purchases for capitalization vs expense
• Evaluation and analysis of financial reports
• Annual tax workpaper preparation and special projects as needed

Requirements:

This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and knowledge of US GAAP. Prior accounting experience required.

Other requirements:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) required
• Proficiency in MRI a plus or similar property management software preferred
• Residential or Commercial real estate experience preferred
