Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

Gravitas is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team based in Staten Island, NY. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records and reports. Responsibilities:

• Cash reconciliations

• Assist with accounting projects as needed

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger

• Reconcile bank statements and resolve any discrepancies

• Ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards and regulations

• Collaborate with other department members to ensure seamless financial operations

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in accounting or a related field

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

• Proficiency in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Excel

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and teamwork skills
