Automotive Test & Validation Technician

Our client is seeking a hands-on Vehicle Dynamics / Body Sealing & Splash Technician to support vehicle development and validation activities within Building 7 operations. First shift- 7:00-3:30 p.m.

Top 3 Must-Have Qualifications

1. Automotive Mechanical Experience

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on automotive repair, maintenance, or vehicle modification experience.
• Ability to disassemble and reassemble vehicle components with minimal supervision.
• Strong understanding of vehicle systems and operation.

2. Strong Mechanical Aptitude

• Experience diagnosing mechanical issues.
• Comfortable working with vehicle components, tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to perform overhead, underbody, and under-dash work.

3. Computer Proficiency

• Comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and other computer-based systems.
• Ability to document testing activities and results accurately.
• Experience navigating diagnostic software and electronic service information systems.

Typical Day

• Attend daily team and safety meetings.
• Receive assignments and testing priorities.
• Set up and execute vehicle dynamics tests.
• Conduct water, dust, and airflow intrusion evaluations.
• Analyze vehicle performance and identify failure points.
• Disassemble and inspect vehicle systems as needed.
• Document results and communicate findings to engineering teams.
• Support multiple test programs while collaborating with teammates.

Required Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma required.
• Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred.

Experience

• 2-5 years of mechanical and/or electrical hands-on experience.
• Automotive service, dealership, testing, prototype, or development experience preferred.

Technical Skills

• Vehicle mechanical repair and diagnosis
