Virginia Beach, VA - On-site. Enjoy working alongside a collaborative team in a welcoming office environment, with occasional work-from-home flexibility when personal circumstances require it.

Job Description
- Prepare federal and multistate business tax returns, including Forms 1120S, 1120, and 1065, along with individual tax returns.
- Assist with financial statement preparation, compilations, reviews, and audit engagements for construction industry clients.
- Prepare journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, financial schedules, and supporting workpapers.
- Develop experience with construction accounting, tax planning, financial reporting, and client advisory services.
- Work closely with experienced accountants and firm leadership to resolve accounting and tax questions.
- Communicate directly with clients and help them navigate their financial reporting and tax compliance needs.
- Use professional accounting and tax software to prepare accurate, timely work while continuing to develop your technical skills.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- CPA designation or actively pursuing CPA certification.
- Public accounting experience working with construction industry clients.
- Experience with business tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
- Understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage assignments independently while collaborating with a supportive team.
- Experience with CCH ProSystem fx Tax or Engagement is a plus.
