We're hiring a Structural Welder II for our Brookshire, TX area client! We are looking for experienced structural steel welders with strong MIG and Flux Core skills who are ready to interview immediately!
DESCRIPTION OF YOUR DREAM JOB:
Job Title: Structural Welder II - Days
Location: Brookshire, TX 77423
Pay:$23.00-$26.00/hour (based on experience and weld test results)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-5:30 PM, with consistent overtime available. Occasional Saturdays may be required based on workload, with notice typically provided the Thursday prior.
Duration: Temp-to-Hire
Description of Duties: Perform welding and fabrication of structural steel components and assemblies in a heavy industrial shop environment. Utilize GMAW (MIG) and FCAW (Flux Core) welding processes to complete structural welds according to fabrication drawings, welding procedures, and quality standards. Perform carbon arc gouging as required to prepare, repair, or remove welds. Inspect completed work for quality and maintain established production and safety standards.
Safely handle and position structural components throughout the fabrication process. Experience using overhead cranes, jib cranes, and other lifting or rigging equipment to move heavy components is a plus.
Requirements: Minimum 2-4 years of structural steel welding and fabrication experience required. Candidates must have hands-on experience with MIG and Flux Core welding and be able to successfully pass a 3G weld test using MIG and FCAW with 1/16-inch wire. Must have experience with carbon arc gouging and be comfortable working in a heavy structural steel fabrication environment.
