What you will be doing: We are seeking a Senior Service Technician with a "Whatever It Takes" approach to join our team! This is a hands-on leadership role where you will be expected to step in, take ownership, and deliver results right away.
In this full-time role, you will be responsible for ensuring that the physical aspects of the community meet company standards and applicable laws. As the Senior Service Technician, you will:
- Lead, develop, and mentor the team in diagnosing problems and completing repairs
- Provide expert-level troubleshooting in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool maintenance, carpentry, drywall, exterior structures, and appliances
- Be accountable for a 24-hour on-call schedule, including personal availability for emergencies such as snow, ice, or urgent site issues
- Manage and organize inventory of all maintenance materials
- Establish and drive schedules - on-call coverage, preventive maintenance, make-readies, and daily work orders
- Conduct regular inspections of community buildings and vacant units
- Execute tasks assigned by the Service Manager with urgency and accountability
What we'll expect from you:
- Active and valid driver's license and personal vehicle
- Ability to live within a 30-minute commute of the property
- HVAC/EPA/CFC Certification preferred
- One-year certificate, 2-4+ years of related experience, or equivalent education
- Ability to lead, work fast, and operate without constant
- Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00/per hour
- Up to 50% Rent Discount
- Property Staff Shared Renewal Commissions - paid monthly
- $300 Morgan Essentials - paid quarterly
- On-call Appreciation - $15/day for holding the on-call phone
