Job Description
Main function is to research and test the design, functionality, and maintenance of products, equipment, and systems
Work directly with a software development team
Focus on mostly SIL (Software-in-the-Loop) and some HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) software testing and automation
Review software feature requirements and define test cases to check conformance with acceptance criteria
Perform testing and document test results
Develop automated test scripts
Provide feedback to the development team on test results and how to design software for testability
Work with the development team to understand requirements
Attend team daily standups
Test software and document results
Develop automated test scripts
Attend story and feature refinement meetings
Discuss software design choices with the Software Architect
Daily interaction with development and systems team members to understand requirements, review test results, and provide input on design direction
Test case definition and documentation
Feedback to development team on test results and how to design software for testability
Addition to help the development team with automated testing
Team is responsible for developing an Operator Monitoring System with focus on Operator safety features
QA engineer will work directly with a software team of 10 people to deliver high-quality software on challenging timelines
