Reliability Leader
Were looking for a data-driven Reliability Leader with metals manufacturing experience for our client in the greater Youngstown, OH area.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:



  • 7+ years of maintenance, reliability, or asset management experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • 5+ years of leadership experience leading maintenance or reliability teams.

  • Strong understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability engineering principles, and asset management practices.

  • Experience leading Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Strong knowledge of industrial mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic & electrical systems.

  • Experience with PLC-controlled automation and industrial controls preferred.

  • Experience in metals manufacturing, aluminum extrusion, or heavy industrial environments preferred.

  • Working knowledge of CMMS systems and maintenance performance metrics.

  • Ability to analyze equipment data and develop strategies that improve reliability and reduce total cost of ownership.

  • Excellent problem-solving, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to effectively influence cross-functional teams and drive change within a manufacturing environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Include:



  • Own the reliability, availability, and performance of all production and facility assets.

  • Lead and develop the maintenance team to safely execute maintenance and reliability activities.

  • Establish and drive preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance strategies.

  • Monitor equipment performance metrics including uptime, downtime, MTBF, MTTR, schedule compliance, and maintenance costs.

  • Analyze equipment failures and lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) activities to eliminate recurring issues.

  • Partner with Operations to improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and production performance.

  • Prioritize maintenance activities based on asset criticality, operational risk, and business needs.

  • Ensure effective planning and scheduling of maintenance work to maximize labor and resource utilization.

  • Develop and manage equipment reliability improvement projects and support capital replacement recommendations.

  • Maintain and improve CMMS work order processes, equipment history, and maintenance performance reporting.

  • Support spare parts and critical inventory strategies to support equipment reliability and minimize downtime.

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, and company standards.

  • Support budgeting and control of maintenance and reliability expenditures.

  • Lead efforts to identify and eliminate chronic equipment defects and operational losses.
