Inventory Control Clerk

Pay Range: $16.00hr - $21.00hr Job Overview: Our client is seeking an Inventory Clerk to manage inventory control and driver check-in. The candidate will perform cycle counts, process product returns, generate inventory reports, and operate warehouse equipment while working across multiple temperature-controlled environments. Responsibilities: Count merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records. Compare inventories to office records or compute figures from sales orders, production records, or purchase invoices to determine current inventory levels. Verify clerical computations against physical count of stock and adjust errors or investigate and report reasons for discrepancies. Generate reports such as inventory balances and shortages. Check in driver returns, assess product quality and damage, check in keys, and adjust invoices based on returns. Conduct regular cycle counting, product rotation, and fresh-to-frozen transfers. Alert team on date-pull short-code products and perform aisle audits. Scan returned products in and comply with the organization's return policy. Requirements: 1+ years of inventory experience. Basic computer experience including proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. Ability to perform mathematical calculations required to count TI/HI of pallets. Experience operating a cherry picker and forklift. High School Diploma or GED. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Inventory Management Systems, inventory auditing, and reconciliation. Prior experience in the foodservice industry. Work Environment: Work is performed across three temperature zones: Dry, Cooler (under 40 degrees), and Freezer (under 15 degrees), with temperatures ranging from -10 to 90 degrees.
