Job description
You clock in, review the build list, and grab the prints for a new run of parts. After a quick huddle with teammates, you stage steel, aluminum, and stainless sheet and tube, set your jigs, and dial in your welder. You move from fit-up to MIG, TIG, or stick passes as the project requires, check your beads, and verify dimensions against the drawings. When a tolerance looks tight, you collaborate with a fellow fabricator to troubleshoot and adjust. Before break, you inspect the assembly to spec, clean the work area, and log your quality checks. By the end of the shift, you've turned raw stock into a clean, accurate, production-ready component-safe, on time, and to standard.
What You'll Do- Fabricate and weld components in steel, aluminum, and stainless steel to meet production and quality goals.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to plan and execute builds accurately.
- Set up, operate, and fine tune welding equipment while following safety procedures and quality protocols.
- Verify dimensions and weld integrity; inspect finished work to ensure it matches all specifications.
- Work closely with teammates to resolve fabrication challenges and improve processes.
- Maintain an orderly, safe, and compliant workstation.
- Participate in ongoing training and development to expand your skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional welding/fabrication coursework is a plus.
- Hands-on welding/fabrication experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Comfort with MIG, TIG, and stick techniques and the judgment to choose the right process for the job.
