Job description
We're partnering with a fast-growing global company in the data center industry that is looking to add a Cash Accountant to its Denver accounting team.
This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants to step into a more complex, high-volume environment and continue growing. The company is expanding quickly, the accounting team is large and well established, and there is a lot of opportunity for cross-training, global exposure, and long-term career growth.
The role is based in Cherry Creek North and follows a hybrid schedule of three days in the office and two days remote.
What You'll Be Doing
This is more complex than a typical cash accounting role. The team manages a high volume of activity across hundreds of bank accounts, so they need someone who can stay organized, work accurately, and keep up in a fast-moving environment.
- Review bank statements and record cash activity across multiple accounts, including payments, receipts, transfers, bank fees, and debt transactions
- Complete weekly and monthly bank reconciliations and investigate unusual or unreconciled items
- Partner with AP, AR, General Accounting, and Treasury to resolve incomplete or irregular transactions
- Support month-end close and intercompany reconciliations
- Assist with audit requests, documentation, and process improvement initiatives
- Work with both USD and CAD transactions and gain exposure to a complex, multi-entity environment
What They're Looking For
- 1-2 years of experience in accounting, finance, cash operations, AP, AR, or a related area who is ready to take on more complexity and volume.
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, debits and credits, and general ledger activity
- Strong Excel skills, including comfort working with large data sets
- Ability to manage a high volume of transactions while maintaining accuracy
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Analytical mindset with the ability to research variances and unreconciled items
- Comfortable working independently while knowing when to ask questions or escalate issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment preferred
- Large ERP experience preferred
- SOX, real estate, foreign currency, multi-currency accounting, or Yardi experience is a plus, but not required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
The people who tend to do well in this environment are smart, driven, curious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a little bit of organized chaos.
Compensation & Benefits
- Compensation is $70K-$85K base + bonus.
- Strong benefits, including a 5% 401(k) match, 15 days PTO, 7 sick days, 12 paid holidays plus 2 floating holidays, medical/dental/vision coverage, HSA/FSA options, parking reimbursement, and 4 months of fully paid maternity leave.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who has built a solid accounting foundation and is ready to step into a larger, more sophisticated environment with plenty of room to grow.
You'll be taken to the employer's application page.
