Position Overview

Our client is a growing, private equity-backed SaaS company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to help scale and strengthen its accounting function. Reporting to the SVP of Accounting, this person will serve as a key partner across the organization, overseeing core accounting operations, revenue recognition, M&A integration, systems initiatives, and financial compliance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong technical accounting, SaaS, and team management experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in accordance with US GAAP.
• Manage revenue recognition for subscription and professional services revenue under ASC 606.
• Lead general ledger, accounts payable, account analysis, variance analysis, and other core accounting activities.
• Oversee tax reporting processes and coordinate with external tax advisors.
• Support M&A activity, including purchase accounting, post-acquisition integration, and financial consolidation.
• Partner with FP&A, Legal, Operations, and other teams on reporting, audit readiness, and strategic initiatives.
• Lead and develop accounting team members while driving process improvements and operational efficiency.
• Support external audits, tax filings, system implementations, and other accounting projects.
• Identify opportunities to optimize ERP systems, automate processes, and improve the scalability of the accounting function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years within a PE-backed SaaS environment.
• Prior experience managing and developing accounting team members.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Hands-on experience with purchase accounting and M&A integration.
• Demonstrated experience with ERP implementations, optimization, or accounting process automation.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• NetSuite experience.
• CPA.
• Experience with Chargebee, Avalara, or similar SaaS billing and tax platforms.
• Advanced Excel skills.
