JENKINS FENCING LLC is seeking a Fence Laborer to support the installation and maintenance of residential and commercial fencing projects in the Metro East area.
Position SummaryThe Fence Laborer assists with the preparation, installation, and finishing of fence systems while maintaining a safe and efficient job site. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and works well as part of a team.
You will help with physical tasks throughout the fencing process-from site preparation and material handling to post-install cleanup-while following job specifications and safety practices.
Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with fence installation tasks, including measuring support locations, digging or preparing post holes, and setting posts
Handle and transport materials, tools, and equipment safely to and from job sites
Support secure assembly of fence components according to project specifications and layout
Maintain a clean, organized work area and perform basic site cleanup after installation
Follow safety procedures and report hazards or concerns to the team lead
Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting and standing for extended periods
Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
Basic understanding of job site safety practices and safe tool/equipment use
Reliability and ability to follow instructions and work effectively with a team
Strong attention to detail to support accurate installation
Must have valid drivers license
Must be able to pass a drug test
Must be able to pass background check
Experience assisting with construction, landscaping, or similar hands-on trade work
Familiarity with fence components and common installation methods
Comfort working with basic hand tools and power tools under supervision
Prior experience working on job sites where safety and teamwork are emphasized
Hourly rate: $18.00 - $20.00
