Refrigeration Technician - Automated Ice Machines

Job Summary

Quick & Pure Ice is seeking a skilled and motivated Traveling Refrigeration Technician to service, repair, troubleshoot, and perform preventative maintenance on automated ice vending machines. The ideal candidate will have experience with refrigeration systems, electrical diagnostics, and preventive maintenance practices. This position requires independent work, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering excellent service.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) on automated ice vending machines.
• Diagnose and repair refrigeration, electrical, and mechanical issues.
• Troubleshoot compressors, condensers, evaporators, and control systems.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential issues before failures occur.
• Replace faulty components and perform system repairs as needed.
• Maintain accurate service records and maintenance logs.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Respond to service calls and equipment breakdowns in a timely manner.
• Ensure machines remain operational and meet company performance standards.
• Communicate repair recommendations and machine status to management.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Refrigeration Technician, HVAC Technician, or related field.
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems and electrical troubleshooting.
• EPA Certification preferred.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in indoor environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on ice machines or vending equipment.
• Knowledge of water filtration systems.
• Familiarity with automation controls and remote monitoring systems.
• Basic computer and mobile device skills for reporting and documentation.

Compensation

Pay: $19.00 - $40.00 per hour (based on experience)
