Marrs is an established local company serving homeowners throughout Bellingham and the surrounding Whatcom County area with HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. Were looking for experienced tradespeople who take pride in quality workmanship and customer service.

The Role

Marrs is hiring an experienced HVAC Service Technician to join our Bellingham team. This is a residential service-focused position for a technician who can independently diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain heating and cooling systems while providing a professional customer experience.

Compensation

• $30-35/hour, depending on experience and qualifications

• Full-time position

What Youll Do

• Diagnose and repair residential heating and cooling systems

• Service and maintain furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, ductless mini-splits, and other residential HVAC equipment

• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, including capacitors, contactors, motors, boards, and low-voltage controls

• Troubleshoot refrigerant-related issues

• Perform maintenance, tune-ups, and warranty service, and identify maintenance risks on equipment

• Recommend appropriate repair or replacement options and explain them clearly to homeowners

• Complete accurate service documentation and job notes

• Follow manufacturer specifications, safety procedures, and applicable codes

• Represent Marrs professionally in customers homes

What Were Looking For

• 2+ years of hands-on residential HVAC service experience

• Ability to independently diagnose and repair HVAC systems

• Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills

• Understanding of refrigerant systems and HVAC controls

• EPA 608 certification

• Professional communication and a great customer experience mindset

• Tech savvy; ServiceTitan experience is a plus, and were happy to train you on it

• Valid Washington drivers license and acceptable driving record

• Reliable, organized, and safety-minded
