Position Summary
The Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Service Technician is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, servicing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems safely, efficiently, and professionally. This role is ideal for a technician who takes pride in quality work, strong customer service, and solving problems in the field.
What You'll Do
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems and equipment
Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain walk-in coolers and freezers, reach-in coolers and freezers, ice machines, and production-line refrigeration equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
Communicate repair recommendations and solutions clearly with customers
Complete service calls safely, efficiently, and accurately
Maintain proper documentation, invoices, and service records
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment
Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies
Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance
Support team productivity and overall branch success
What Success Looks Like
Complete service calls safely, accurately, and efficiently
Diagnose issues correctly and reduce repeat callbacks
Communicate clearly with customers about repairs, options, and recommendations
Meet productivity and performance goals
Maintain strong customer satisfaction
Complete paperwork, invoices, and service notes accurately
Follow safety procedures and use proper PPE
Maintain company vehicle, tools, and equipment in good condition
Show up on time, be prepared, and support the team
Required Qualifications
2+ years of HVAC service experience
2+ years of commercial refrigeration service experience
EPA Certification
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
Strong communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift equipment and work in outdoor conditions or confined spaces
Professional appearance and positive attitude
Preferred Qualifications
Residential and/or commercial HVAC and refrigeration experience
NATE Certification
ServiceTitan experience
Experience with maintenance agreements and upselling
Experience in fast-paced service environments
Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians
Bilingual English/Spanish
