Job description
We're hiring a Crate Builder / Shipping Associate to support the shipment of large industrial equipment. This is a hands-on role focused on building custom wooden crates, preparing equipment for shipment, and working with a tight-knit production and shipping team.
What You'll Do
- Build custom wood crates and skids for industrial machinery
- Measure, cut, and assemble lumber using saws, nail guns, and hand tools
- Secure equipment for shipment (blocking, bracing, strapping, wrapping)
- Assist with loading and staging freight for outbound shipments
- Follow shipping instructions and quality standards to prevent damage
- Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
What We're Looking For
- Experience in crate building, carpentry, shipping, or industrial packaging preferred
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, tape measures, and saws
- Ability to read basic drawings or shipping instructions
- Physically able to lift, move, and position materials and crates
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and safety-minded
This is a 1st shift position.
Pay rate is $20.00 to $22.00hr
