We are looking for an experienced RESIDENTIAL electrician who can step into the field and begin running calls independently.

You need to be able to think, communicate, troubleshoot, and solve problems on every call-not simply replace parts until something works.

We're looking for someone who is reliable, experienced, takes ownership of their work, and takes pride in doing the job right the first time.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and troubleshoot residential electrical problems
Run residential electrical service calls independently
Identify the cause of electrical problems without guessing
Clearly explain problems and recommended solutions to customers
Provide repair or replacement options when appropriate
Complete repairs the same day when possible
Repair and replace outlets, switches, GFCIs, breakers, fixtures, and other electrical components
Install lighting, ceiling fans, receptacles, switches, and dedicated circuits
Diagnose loss-of-power, circuit, wiring, and breaker issues
Perform electrical panel repairs, replacements, and upgrades
Install circuits for residential appliances and equipment
Perform electrical work related to HVAC and plumbing equipment when needed
Identify electrical hazards and code concerns
Complete work according to applicable electrical codes and company standards
Test completed work to make sure everything is operating safely and properly
Protect customers' homes and leave work areas clean
Keep your service truck clean, stocked, and organized
Communicate with the office about job status, additional work, and schedule changes
Take photos and write clear job notes before closing out each job
Collect payment when the job is completed
Participate in the company's on-call rotation

Qualifications

This position requires a skilled electrician who is already comfortable working independently in customers' homes.

Strong residential electrical service and repair experience
Several years of hands-on electrical field experience
Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
Ability to diagnose electrical problems without guessing
Experience working with residential electrical panels, breakers, circuits, devices, and wiring
Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and residential electrical safety practices
Ability to determine the proper repair, materials, and equipment needed for a job
Ability to perform repairs and installations safely and efficiently
Ability to work independently and stay on schedule
Good communication skills with customers
Ability to explain electrical problems in a way homeowners can understand
Valid driver's license and clean driving record
Willingness to ask questions, use technical resources, or contact manufacturer/technical support when needed
Ability to complete the physical requirements of residential electrical work

Electrical licenses, certifications, continuing education, and additional specialized experience are a plus.
