This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong background in finance and accounting, who is looking to make a significant impact on our business. Our VP of Finance will play a critical role in strategic decision-making and operations as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs and the securing of new funding. You will be responsible for managing all financial and accounting procedures, from financial planning and budgeting to auditing and treasury. Responsibilities: As our VP of Finance, you will be responsible for the following: 1. Overseeing all fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities for the organization, in conjunction with the board of directors and the finance, audit, and investment committees of the board. 2. Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's growth. 3. Preparing and presenting financial reports and risk analysis. 4. Managing the company's investment portfolio and ensuring that the company's financial practices are in line with statutory regulations and legislation. 5. Analyzing the financial climate and market trends to assist senior executives in creating strategic plans for the future. 6. Interpreting complex financial information and providing updates and information as needed. 7. Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities. 8. Overseeing financial systems and budgeting tools. 9. Monitoring, coordinating, and completing annual audits. 10. Ensuring the company's banking arrangements to support its financial activities. 11. Managing the preparation of the company's financial outlook and financial forecasts. 12. Evaluating and managing risk. 13. Ensuring compliance with the law and company's policies. Qualifications: Candidates for this position must have the following qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA would be an advantage. 2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior financial managerial position. 3. Proven experience with financial statements, bank reconciliations, and dashboards. 4. Knowledge and experience in Wholesale Distribution, e-commerce, Import/Export, importing, exporting, consumer goods, and Consumer Electronics. 5. Strong financial and accounting background, including an understanding of profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow management, and general finance and budgeting. 6. Ability to strategize and solve problems. 7. Strong leadership and organizational skills. 8. Excellent communication and people skills. 9. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers. 10. Proficient user of finance software. 11. Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
