Finance Manager - Private Equity Funds

If you've spent the last several years in private equity fund accounting and are wondering what the next step is beyond simply owning more NAVs and quarter-end closes, this is the type of role worth looking at.

We're partnering with a leading private investment platform to hire a Finance Manager supporting its flagship private capital funds.

The opportunity is much broader than traditional fund accounting.

You'll sit on the investment manager side, oversee the third-party fund administrator, and work across financial reporting, fund operations, valuations, cash management, investor reporting, process improvement, and automation.

What you'll own and get exposure to:

• Quarterly and annual fund financial reporting under ASC 946
• NAVs, partner capital accounts, capital calls and distributions
• Waterfall allocations and partner economics
• Third-party fund administrator oversight
• Portfolio company valuation accounting
• Multi-vehicle funds, co-investments and SPVs
• Cash management and forecasting
• Investor and senior leadership requests
• Audit and regulatory reporting
• Future fund launches and increasing fund complexity
• Mentorship and review of junior team members

One of the biggest differentiators is the technology component.

The team wants someone who can look at how fund finance is currently being done and make it better. You'll have the opportunity to build automated reporting and review tools, improve workflows and data, develop dashboards, and identify practical ways to use automation and AI to eliminate manual work.

They're looking for:

• 6-9 years of private equity/private capital fund finance experience
• Strong fund reporting and operations knowledge
• Experience overseeing or working closely with fund administrators
• Advanced Excel skills
• ASC 946 knowledge
• Investran experience strongly preferred
• Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Alteryx or Workiva is a plus
• CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
