Immediate need for a single point Automotive Dealership Controller to provide hands-on accounting, leadership, and administrative support while developing and maintaining strong financial reporting controls. In this critical role, you will lead all accounting back-office operations while upholding the highest standards of ethics, precision, and operational excellence.

Pay plan is commensurate with experience level
What you will be doing:
- Direct all dealership accounting functions with a hands-on approach. Manage month-end closes, general ledger maintenance, bank reconciliations, and routine financial schedule audits.
- Manage the daily accounting operations of the new car store to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP Accounting OEM reporting requirements
- Timely submission of OEM financial statements and management reports
- Manage floorplan schedules, cash flow optimization, dealership insurance policies, and risk claims. Review and approve contracts, operational agreements, and disbursements.
- Maintain effective cash management systems and keep the General Manager, equity owners and senior leadership informed on the accounting trends and cash needs
- Manage and safeguard dealership's assets and ensure proper financial reporting controls
- Assist dealership's leadership team in reading and interpreting their financial reports and responding to request for information and assistance in a timely manner
- Work directly with accounting back-office teams, sales managers and leadership to improve revenue or reduce expenses to meet or exceed budgets
- Track daily financial metrics, present actionable operational insights to ownership, and coordinate IT/DMS systems with internal staff and third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with dealership policies and standard operational procedures
Experience that we are looking for:
- Must have prior experience as an Automotive Dealership Controller out of large platform stores with thorough knowledge and experience preparing new car dealership OEM financial statements and demonstrated proficiency with mainstream Dealer Management Systems (DMS) Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK, or Dealertrack
- Must have at least 5-10 years plus as an Automotive Dealership Controller for new car OEM automotive dealerships
- Demonstrated experience in leading accounting teams from high volume new car OEM automotive dealerships
- Ability to multi-task, work with various levels of management and manage accounting and administrative staff.
- Demonstrate hands-on technical accounting knowledge of automotive dealership industry
- Must successfully pass a background check, motor vehicle record (MVR) review, and drug screening.
