Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOur client is seeking a fully remote Senior Accountant to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, compliance, and financial analysis for a mission-driven organization. This role will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with budgeting and forecasting, supporting audits, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. The Senior Accountant will collaborate closely with leadership and operational teams to support sound financial management and organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger activity.
- Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
- Prepare financial statements, management reports, and variance analyses.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning, and financial analysis.
- Manage grant and fund accounting activities, including reporting and compliance requirements.
- Coordinate audit requests, prepare supporting schedules, and assist with regulatory filings.
- Monitor and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements, system enhancements, and automation initiatives.
- Provide support across accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed asset accounting as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Experience with financial reporting, budgeting, audits, and general accounting operations.
- Background in grant accounting, fund accounting, or nonprofit environments is highly desirable.
