Journeyman Electrician - Industrial

GSA Staffing Professionals is seeking experienced Journeyman Electricians on behalf of a premier construction and engineering client supporting commercial and industrial projects throughout the Augusta, GA / Aiken, SC region.

$28.00 - $36.00 per hour DOE

Location

Augusta, GA & Aiken, SC

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and troubleshoot commercial and industrial electrical systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
• Install EMT, Rigid, IMC, and PVC conduit
• Pull wire and install cable tray systems
• Install and terminate panels, switchgear, transformers, disconnects, MCCs, and motor controls
• Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting using industry-standard test equipment
• Support equipment startups, shutdowns, and maintenance activities
• Follow OSHA, NEC, NFPA 70E, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety procedures
• Work independently and as part of a team to complete projects safely and efficiently

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial and/or industrial electrical experience
• Strong conduit bending and installation skills
• Experience with electrical equipment installations and terminations
• Ability to read blueprints and electrical drawings
• Working knowledge of NEC and OSHA standards
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening requirements

Preferred Qualifications

• Industrial plant or manufacturing experience
• Shutdown or turnaround project experience
• Experience with MCCs, VFDs, motor controls, and production equipment
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
• NFPA 70E training
• Lift certifications (Scissor Lift, Boom Lift, Forklift, etc.)
• Experience leading helpers or apprentices

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work from ladders, lifts, and elevated surfaces
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods
