Job description
Welder/Metal Fabricator is responsible for being proficient in metal fabrication and welding techniques, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work in various environments. This role involves working with complex blueprints, operating heavy machinery and performing physically demanding tasks. This role requires a willingness to travel on site to customers' locations as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Blueprint Interpretation: Accurately interpret and follow complex blueprint drawings to determine the specifications and requirements for each project.
Equipment Operation: Safely and effectively operate various types of equipment, including:
o TIG or MIG or both
o Handheld power tools (grinders, saws, drills, cutting equipment, and spray paint equipment)
o Drill Presses
o Overhead Cranes
o Forklifts
o Vertical Saws
o Other metal fabrication machinery as required
Physical Handling: Maneuver and lift parts/components weighing up to 150 lbs.
Work Environment: Perform tasks in confined spaces (e.g., inside a cylinder as small as 48" I.D.), which may involve extensive bending, kneeling, and lifting components.
Welding Codes Knowledge: Apply and adhere to various welding codes including GMAW, SMAW, and FCAW.
This is a 1st shift position. 4 -10 hour shifts. The right candidate will be able to choose Monday - Thursday or Tuesday - Friday.
Pay Rate: $25.00 to $34.00hr. (Must be able to MIG and TIG weld directly from prints)
