Pay Range: $13.70hr - $18.70hr Job Overview: The Computer Laboratory Technician I supports day-to-day operations within the client's Regulatory Test Laboratories by performing hands-on testing, equipment setup, data collection, documentation, and laboratory support activities. The role is responsible for assisting with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and wireless compliance testing of client reference designs, platforms, and products to ensure adherence to applicable regulatory and certification requirements. This position requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment while managing multiple priorities. The candidate will collaborate with engineers, lab customers, and cross-functional teams to support testing activities, maintain laboratory operations, and ensure accurate test documentation. Key Responsibilities: Support EMC, wireless, and regulatory compliance testing activities within the laboratory environment. Set up and configure equipment under test (EUT) and related test instrumentation according to established procedures. Execute laboratory test plans and accurately collect, document, and track test data. Generate test reports and technical documentation summarizing test results and observations. Coordinate testing schedules and maintain updates within laboratory job-tracking systems. Work closely with internal customers to understand testing requirements and support successful test execution. Perform basic troubleshooting of computer systems, hardware platforms, and laboratory equipment. Maintain laboratory organization, cleanliness, and safety standards. Assist with equipment verification, calibration coordination, maintenance, and inventory management activities. Support continuous improvement initiatives for laboratory processes, procedures, and documentation. Ensure compliance with laboratory accreditation requirements, quality standards, and operating procedures. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory requirements. Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience. 1 to 3 years of experience working with computer hardware, electronics, or laboratory equipment. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation accuracy. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Ability to learn laboratory software, testing tools, and data management systems. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple assignments in a dynamic laboratory environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EMC, RF, wireless, validation, or regulatory compliance testing. Familiarity with electronic test equipment, including spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators, power meters, digital multimeters, and RF antennas. Technical writing experience, including preparation of test reports and procedural documentation. Familiarity with U.S., XX, or international regulatory compliance standards. Experience supporting ISO-accredited or regulated laboratory environments. Knowledge of computer system troubleshooting and hardware validation processes.
